As Artificial Intelligence enters the workplace, business leaders now need skills to rise to the challenges and opportunities presented. Traditionally high-level human intellect jobs are getting automated, boosting the efficiency but, the reality is that human capital is indispensable. It is time for leadership development to evolve. Bruhat Insights Global, the AI-powered talent acquisition arm of Avtar Group, launched a nation-wide survey and reached out to over 250 organizations to get a deeper in understanding the level of AI penetration by the organizational levels. The research found that for organizations that are fore-running with AI applications in their HR functions, use insights-based data for succession planning and mentoring adding value to the organizations.

With a fear of making wrong management decisions, leaders' implement AI applications to ensure a smooth segue for managers climbing up the corporate ladder.

The other part of the problem is the number that leaders must be groomed for leadership positions. For example, a company with 50,000 employees implementing a succession strategy down through the director level might need to have development plans for more than 3,000 leaders. In a situation like this, how can the organization ensure that this new generation of leaders will be sensitive to its corporate culture and mission, possess the necessary subject-matter expertise, and foster appropriate contacts and networks? This is where the AI system come into play. From the enormous amount of data that the system collects, machine learning provides insights on an employee's potential to be developed into the suitable leader in an organization.
